These organic okra seeds grow extremely well. They germinate quickly and produces many pods. Provide regular addition of fertiliser with heavy sunlight to ensure bountiful harvest. Perfect steamed, cooked or sauteed alone or with other vegetables.
Planting: Year round in tropical climate; In temperate climates – 3-4 weeks before the last spring frost if covered with a grow tunnel or cold frame, otherwise wait till soil has warmed to about 65-70°F (18-21°C). Does well in hot conditions.
Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil.
Sowing depth: 0.5-1 inch (1.25-2.5 cm) deep.
Spacing: 12-18 inches (30-45 cm) apart
Light: Full sun.
Watering: At least 1 inch of water per week, more if the conditions are hot and arid.
Fertilising: Requires mulching.
Harvest: approximately 2 months after first seeding, when the pods are 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) long, harvesting every other day for full yield.
