Also known as Sharp Leaf Amaranth. This variety of spinach vegetable has tender stems and leaves in light green colour are very delicious, suitable for stir-fry, soup and salad. This is a superfood which is full of nutrients such as multiple Vitamins, Calcium and Magnesium.
The Spinach Sharp Leaf Bayam grow very well and fast in warm climates. Young leaves and stems can be harvested periodically for a long time during the growth. It can be harvested with the cut-and-grow-again method at any stage for cooking uses.
Challenges / Tips: Pluck individual leaves when they are 15cm-30cm tall. Look out for aphids.
